When will Zambia's 2026 election results be announced?

Only the Electoral Commission of Zambia can declare a Zambian presidential result. Constituency returns are verified at the National Results Centre and announced in batches, and the presidential result is declared once enough constituencies have been verified to establish the outcome.

The Commission's roadmap set verification across 15–17 August 2026, with the presidential declaration expected on 17 August. Counting was suspended on 14 August and has since resumed.

The count currently stands at 4 of 226 constituencies, 37,288 valid votes. Anything before the Commission's declaration, including on this site, is a running tally, not a result.
