Zambia General Election 2026 Presidential results

Every declaration, every province, and the one number that decides whether this goes to a run-off.

Unofficial Figures taken from ECZ National Results Centre ahead of publication on the ECZ portal. Treat as provisional until the ECZ publishes.

The 50% + 1 line

A presidential candidate must win more than 50% of valid votes cast. If nobody clears the line, the top two go to a run-off within 37 days.

Shaded band = every final share still arithmetically available to Hakainde Hichilema from the ~5,610,014 votes estimated to be outstanding. It narrows as counting proceeds. Cross-checked against the register: at 55–75% turnout of 8,786,300 registered voters, between 4,795,177 and 6,552,437 votes remain uncounted.

To finish above 50%, Hakainde Hichilema needs 49.9% of everything still outstanding — currently running at 60.3%.

Equal-weight view — one tile per province

A geographic map gives North-Western the visual weight of a region with a fraction of Lusaka's voters. Same data, one tile each, so area stops arguing for one side.

The board

One square per constituency, all 226 of them. It fills up as declarations come in — the empty squares are the story, because that is where the result still lives.
